The origin of Casa da Música dates back to 1998, when the cities of Porto and Rotterdam were chosen as European Capitals of Culture for 2001. Architect Rem Koolhaas recovers a previous project, the “Y2K” house, to transform, shape, expand and adapt it to a radically different scale and program, presenting a building that reflects a style statement, an aesthetic convention, an unmistakable author's stamp.
Discover the corners of Casa da Música, the materials and the colors, embarking on an architectural adventure through our regular guided tours, available in four languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese) or customized with a language and dynamics suited to the characteristics of each group.
In the end, if you buy a ticket for any concert by our Resident Groups, you will benefit from a discount equal to the visit.
Come and discover Casa da Música and finish your visit with a concert.
